Example 1: Payment Gateway Evaluation
The client was on the verge of replacing their payment processor due to perceived compliance and regional friction. We proposed a controlled proof of concept (PoC) to simulate production-level workflows with the new provider and compared them directly with the incumbent. This approach unearthed critical integration and reporting gaps that would have compromised operations, ultimately helping the client avoid a costly misstep.
Example 2: Diagnosing Sluggish Site Performance
Internal teams believed the slow commerce experience stemmed from backend APIs. We conducted end-to-end diagnostics that revealed Elastic Path was not the bottleneck, in fact, response times were sub-second. The real issue was a front-end architecture burdened with synchronous logic. We restructured the checkout to operate asynchronously, dramatically improving perceived speed and eliminating related support complaints.
Example 3: Ongoing Platform Modernization
With a complex commerce engine like Elastic Path, knowing when and how to upgrade is as important as the upgrade itself. We advised the client on technical debt reduction, strategic timing of version upgrades, and the retirement of custom accelerators in favor of native platform improvements. We also enhanced resiliency by implementing asynchronous workflows, retry logic, and early-warning alerting systems for failed transactions.
